If you prefer the
convenience of working out at home so you don’t have to drive somewhere
every time you want to workout, a home gym is a great to have.
To build a home gym, all you need
is a little space and a small budget. The budget can be anything from a couple
hundred dollars to $10,000. Here, we have put together a sample affordable home
gym for sports specific athletic training as well as for normal weight training.
Our sample gym you can put together for around $500.
THE BEST HOME GYMS HAVE THESE
EQUIPMENT
A bench is the base of the gym.
Several exercises can be preformed using the bench and usually extra pieces are
easy to add for more variation.
A Bar
usually comes with the bench so you don’t have to get that separately.
Free Weights
give you a wide variety of exercises to train your muscles. The bench, bar and
free weight allow you to do a full body work out.
Leg Press or Squat Rack
this is what makes a good
home gym a great home gym. To get a great leg work out, you must be able to lift
a large amount of weight.
Exercise Ball I recommend for
everyone. With an exercise ball you can perform all kinds of different moves
from balance to core.
ADDITIONAL MACHINES FOR
CARDIOVASCULAR TRAINING

Home gyms with extra equipment like the
bowflex, weider home gyms and all other total home gym sets are great to add
if you can.
